Fernando Lavoz (Chile)
Fernando Lavoz Bustamante is a freelance documentary photographer based in Santiago, Chile.
He studied Bachelor of Arts at the University of Chile. His work is mainly focused on personal documentary long-term projets. He collaborates with international media in the coverage of news events.

AWARDS
Winner of the Photography and Human Rights Award 2013.
First place in Foto Prensa 2016 with the project Portraits of the Memory.
Second prize category Sport Series Contest POY Latam 2017 with de projet Danae.
First place in Foto Prensa 2017 with the project El elogio de la sombra, Sport category . Honorable Mention with The portrait of José Huenante. Honorable Mention with “Heaven knows gunpowder”.
First place in Foto Prensa 2018 with project "Danae", Sport category . Honorable Mention in daly life with " Images of resistance" and Honorable Mention with the portrait of the musician Jeff Parker.
First place in Foto Prensa 2019 with the projet “Haras Tronador. The majestic Lipizzan horse”, Sport category.
Honorable Mention with the projet “Greyhound racing in the rural countryside of southern Chile”.
First place in Foto Prensa 2021 with project "Isa´s transition", Daly life category.
First place in Foto Prensa 2021 with project "Forest fire", Nature and environment category.
First place in Foto Prensa 2022 with project "The Warmth of the Fire” , Nature and environment category.
Foto Prensa 2022: Honorable Mention with the projet “Oblivion: The Forgotten”.
His project Rights and humans: the open wound., was awarded the FONDART National FONDART for artistic creation, mention in photography, call 2024, from the Chilean Ministry of Culture and the Arts.
